Application

• Large-scale part hopper systems or narrow openings

Some applications require a specific width of the sonic cone to ensure optimum measurement results. The IO-Link interface enables efficient adjustments of individually sized sonic cones (narrow, medium, wide).

• Objects in confined installation space difficult to detect

Some object surfaces only allow for reliable detection by ultrasonic technology. Where space is limited, the sensor often has to be installed very close to the object to be detected. This calls for compact ultrasonic sensors with a short blind range at yet a sufficiently large measuring range.

• Interfering objects or fast objects

Temporarily interfering objects within the detection range of the ultrasonic sensor can be suppressed by filtering. Adjusted filtering in the detection of bulk material also ensures optimum results. On the other hand, refraining from filtering can be a benefit in fast applications.
